MIA Symbolism

The purpose of this symbol is to bring an even greater awareness to this grave problem of homelessness of our Veterans.

The black figure denotes the countless faceless Homeless Veterans on the streets of America.

The shadow is a reflection of Homeless Veteran's military service to our great country, and the left hand salute signifies continued pride and respect for the flag; but shows the Veteran's dissatisfaction in how the country has forgotten them.

The underlined MIA is an acronym for "Missing In America" and is meant to signify those Homeless Veterans missing here in America.
